Thirty Years

So, second short story of a three story set Thirty Years released recently.

For this page I just really wanted to give the reader an opportunity to understand life from the Narrator's perspective and perhaps answer questions that readers have/or may have had while reading.

FAQ

What's the main characters name?  Her real name is never given.  I always called her Jane Doe or the Narrator to keep it simple.  If you were to ask her she'd simply cock her hip and ask 'what do you want it to be sugga?'

Wow from terrorists to prostitution, really?  I write about the world.  It's in your face and hidden behind your face problems.  I like talking about what other people are too civilized to talk about because those are usually the most important topics.  It's not that I like to push boundaries, I don't think there should be any boundaries to push.  Civilization has to find it's spine and it's heart if we want to see our world continue to prosper.  Hate, bigotry, and all that other rotten drivel meant to drive a wedge between us need to take a backseat to the current problems we face today.

Why a prostitute/homeless person?  Why not?  Does their point of view have any less value than mine or yours?  Hard circumstance in life can turn anyone indigent.  ANYONE.  Which is why I told the story from this point of view.  I wanted it to come from the bottom.  I wanted to give good clean lily white palmed people a look into a world they can't/don't/won't see.

This book was a little gritty and had a lot of adult language.....
Yes, and I make no apologizes for that.  I don't like to hold punches with my content.  If there is a bad scene coming, I'm going to write it exactly how the character wants it written, not how the public or a publisher wants it written.  As to the language, ten minutes on cable and you'll hear it all.

You've really been homeless?  Yes, like I said in the back of the story I gave you a true about me instead of a generic stamping so that readers could perhaps understand my perspective on the homeless situation and what people are forced to do to eat every day.  Am I going to tell you more than that?  No, that's between me and my therapist and whatever faith you want to think I believe in.

What happened to the baby?
None of your damned business, and I say that with all the love in my heart.  Some stories take time to be told and it's been my experience that the truest ones are the hardest to write.
